Elmer G. Letterman once said, "A man may fall many times, but he won't be a failure until he says that someone pushed him." Though mistakes happen all the time, perserverence is what helps achieve success. It is easier to fail than to try once again, but true failure is not after falling "many times",  rather its blaming OTHERS for mistakes that were commited.

In this world, it is natural to have a fighting instinct. We like to compete, we hope to be the best, and ultimately enjoy the thrill of winning. However, competition creates tension and after trying and trying to perfect something without any kind of progress, our minds yields to the hopes of success and finds excuses. Its hard to admit to defeat, because after a worthy battle, it is even harder to blame yourself, but giving up and accusing others is truly the only attribute to failure.

Failure is not after many hard valuable attempts, but its that last excuse made up by people that are too weak to accept their lost and disgracefully condemn others. I try my best to achieve the goals I set, and when it gets tough, I do not point fingers, but rather I reassure myself that I can finish successfully if I continue past my own limits. I pity those that take pride on blaming others for their own blunders, because it is simply not morally right or fair.

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
                                                             -Plato

One thing people misjudge the most is another individual's struggles. It is uncertain what a living soul is truly going through. Whether its a deep burden nesting in their hearts, or a heavy load on their shoulders, they are enduring what should not be withstood, and so why press down harder on someone's tender bruise?

Kindness is the display of compassionate affection, a friendly attitude and a trait that everyone should have! Simply surving through each day for many is "hard" and for that one reason people should be more considerate, and less self absorbed (no one in particular).

What I utterly hate the most, other than people picking their nose while driving, is ignorant people that say or do things that leave a painful scar. People like to act before they think, not necessarily a good thing because by disregarding others inflicts more pain, and adding more discomfort to a suffering being is absolutely inhumane. The major problem within this world is not realizing that being genuinely kind towards each other actually saves us and eases everyone"fighting a hard battle".

Facing obstacles is part of life, and survivng is too but its the people who surround us that will either reach out to grab hold of our trembling hand or sadly force us to dig deeper into despair.

RISE!

Rise Against, an amazing band with 4 members, I won't go into much details but you are either familiar with their work or maybe you have never listened to them before, but one thing is certain they don't sing for awards or to gain over-fame, but rather they create an insightful meaning to life through the essence of their songs.

"When enough is enough that's when you know you're halfway there"
                                                                                                                                              -Rise Against

This small yet ambiguous lyric, taken from their song Halfway There, means so much that after hearing the song over and over, I came up with a different interpretation every time. This is not the only lyric that stood out, but it's the one that had the strongest point. Though it's the chorus of the song, obviously being repeated throughout, it does not have that annoying effect one gets after hearing a song(plus chorus) on the radio every 15 minutes.
To me this lyric has a purpose, to motivate and spark that flame in our brain that ignites our willpower.

If getting halfway there is when enough is enough, then what gets us fully there? Where is this place that we are heading to anyways? Everyone has the ability to achieve greater, the ability to carry on through our own limitations. Just when you are about to quit with lost hopes of accomplishment or think that you have finished with unprecedented effort , it's at that point that is considered halfway there. To not give up and swim further, going beyond the repelling tides, is to finally pass through to the other side. The final attainment, which is only acquired by those who will make the biggest impact in this world. A fulfillment that can be expected to have a compromising and accomplished future.

Another way to look at this song lyric is if you consider dividing into halves, whereas the first half is inquiring questions, not having the assurance to answer them since having questions is already enough undertaking for some individuals, and only portraying an "enough is enough" disposition. To then at some point finally realizing a restrained growth the second half is pursued. The second half being the action in which the more indulging individuals will try to seek answers to those questions, stepping further and further into their true self-worth acknowledgement.

In the end, both interpretations convey the meaning of not giving up!

The song overall, sends a deeper message to the listener and only when heard can someone feel the real attraction to these words.
